Most companies in Japan want to manage multiple SNS channels here and abroad. The idea was to conceptualise a platform that could do this.

Existing Product & Problem
Companies in Japan want to be able to market their services in Japan and abroad, however, nothin is available at the moment for them to manage everything, especially in other languages using video and images. It takes a lot of time to manage everything, so the idea is to make something that is at least semi-automatic.
Process
Research & Discovery
I looked into how different influencers use social media in Japan and what platforms they use. I wanted to understand what tags they used and what content they created for platforms such as Youtube, Instagram Shorts and TikTok.
Concerns
As I was looking into the domestic market (Japanese) I wondered how hard it would be to create content. Also many services such as Youtube are blocking content that is AI generated, so I wondered what the reach would be if I used AI. During the current process I also can’t use AI< so I wondered what could be used. I wondered also how to connect all parts of the platform.
Ideation
I started looking at the overall structure of what was needed for an SNS platform and planning out the structure as well as how to make video generator faster, and how a platform could evolve. I looked into creating videos and how to make content for English and Japanese audiences, what was the best time to posts and what content would work. The first part was the video generator. I realised that when making videos a lot of time was spent aligning all content of the video, then finding a background music. I used design and then AI to code the generator, with inputs about UX to improve the features and usefulness of.
Solution
I came up with screen ideas for the overall platform, butt he first struggle was a way of creating a way of making videos faster. I managed to make a video generator that can make videos based on a script where I would enter an Arti le in english or Japanese without AI. This would then spit out a video in my desired format for a video service, with two formats for users. It would allow users to select videos and add text, that would be all sycned together so if content was shorter, it would make sure to repeat it and keep the video consistent.
Future Vision
With the video generator working, my next step would be to add it to a website and allow users to use it, and then control the scheduling with connection to social media platforms.
Key Takeaways
The video algorithms on social media sites are always changing. You can’t just launch a channel an expect content to go viral, so you still need to do some manual work.
