Research & Discovery
I talked with different members of my Japan office colleagues and our colleagues working overseas to understand what the brand meant to them, I also worked with the Director of the project to find out what business thought and what they wanted the brand to be. I gathered all material we had from sales teams and accounts teams to undetand what we needed and how no one in the end knew much about who or what the brand was, and the overall idea was to crate something that had a friendly vibe however accounts staff overseas had other ideas as they wanted to sound more professional.
Concerns
With so many material created already, I wondered how much of it could be changed and how to push out the brands message so all internal staff understood the brand and those working with us or seeing it for the first time.
Ideation
I looked at a variety of different brand guidelines and I used ChatGPT to help me layout the plan for introducing the guidelines in a step by step basis. The first idea was to release without strict guidelines so everyone within the company would understand how to use brand guidelines as it was a new concept. I worked with the stakeholders to create the vsion, mission statements so everyone would understand about the brand.
Solution
I created a guidelines document that explained what then brand is, what the colours are, what typography to use for all material and how we should introduce the brand to customers. I also created a template that could be used for Google Slides which we used internally and Powerpoint so our account managers would have the same material style to keep everything consistent.

Key Takeaways
Working across many countries and different teams was interesting. It was nice to learn what each member though, how they pronounce the company name and what I needed to create material wise so everyone understood.
