Working with another supplement client of mine, I came up with a rebrand for my client.
I first looked into other examples of supplement brands and then applied the logo to the packaging designs.
Upcoming branding for a brand that I have interest in. I can’t give too much away, but I enjoyed researching into the use of fonts and using Japanese in the logo.
The brochure I created for Animal Fly. I was asked to create the brochure in both English & Japanese.
I created Crest City, a firm based in Hong Kong with offices also in Tokyo. I created the cards with a raised spot UV finish to the front and the back of the cards.
I created a flyer & also a website for a company called “Wakalture” in Tokyo, Japan. The company offers calligraphy and other classes in Tokyo to Japanese & tourists visiting Japan.
I wanted to show something Japanese, but also fun. I included a Daruma & a Crane Origami into the design. Once the design was selected, I then applied the design to the website.
I was approached by Univa Capital to come up with a New Year’s Card design to represent “The Year of the Monkey”. Univa Capital is a holding company with corporate companies around the world, so I had to make sure the design would be understandable to all of the clients that the card would be sent out to.
Using the Japanese & English copy provided, I create the illustration of the monkeys with the logo element incorporated in the design.
Currently I work at Lisuto in Japan as the Lead Designer, working on UI/UX design for this new application in Tokyo. It’s really interesting coming up with the design style, and then applying the style to creating responsive designs, & the iOS app.
The application will be provided in many languages, so I have to think about how the design will work in many languages, when designing for the application.
I created this design for a Youtube channel about the city of Odawara, Japan. I used illustration and Photoshop.
I created a range of fun flyer and poster illustrations to be aimed at students.
On the 21st of June 2012 I had my end of year show at the Batley School of Art.
I was surprised how it turned out with some work from my last project. The exhibition for my final year showed examples of my first year too.
GD86 promotional poster with Yokai (Japanese Monsters) in a cute illustration piece.
A GD86 poster using a mixture of illustration and hand-rendered type to show two lucky Daruma dolls.
A GD86 promotional poster based on the Japanese story/myth of “One Thousand Cranes“.
The poster was put together using photographs I had taken of origami cranes, to make the shape an origami crane.
For my final University project I had to create an evaluation report that would explain about what I knew/had learned about business practice/branding and explaining about my own personal corporate identity.
The book turned out petty well, with the use of the GD86 branding and pictures that I had taken while visiting Tokyo.
My own promotional business cards printed on 400gsm silk, matt laminated with a spot UV varnish applied to elements on both sides.
Pictures from the 2011 End of Year show at the Batley School of Art of my Manchester Jazz Festival campaign.
The brief was given to us at the Batley School of Art to create a range of promotional material for the Manchester Jazz Festival, which is a festival held in various venues in Manchester each year.
I came up with the idea to create the instruments using shapes to catch the attention of potential viewers, by using instruments that are associated with jazz music. This concept was then applied to a range of promotional items and outdoor advertising examples.
My original promotional posters, with inspiration taken from a film by Studio Ghibli called “Laputa, Castle in the Sky”.
For the poster I used hand-drawn elements and paint, which I then scanned in and brought into illustrator where I added type.

A range of brochures I created for companies based in the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.
Two magazines I created for Qatar and the UK.
